Wondering what should be in a healthy girl’s kitchen? Read on and see how you cuisine measures up!
Color, color, color! A rainbow of vegetable that is! Not only are vegetables full of vitamins and minerals your system needs to function efficiently, they are an excellent way to fill up and add fiber to your diet. Hungry? Add as many non-starch veggies you like to your plate and feel free of guilt. Ideal selection: green/red/yellow peppers, spinach, lettuce, broccoli, and cabbage.
Sweet stuff! What better way to end a meal that with fresh fruit. Its summer, everything is fresh and crisp. Like vegetable, fruits provide tons of antioxidant power that ward off free radicals wear down every part of your body. Fruits also provide water to help hydrate you. Your best bests include: blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, apples, and citrus.
Women need plenty of this-Vitamin D! As we gracefully mature, Vitamin D becomes vital to our diet. If this vitamin could have a love affair, it would always choose calcium to help fulfill its mission: aid calcium in strengthening bones and protect our immune system. Best sources: fish, soy milk, milk, and eggs.
Protein Power! Lean protein keeps us full but most importantly is the only way we can build and maintain muscle. Our bodies cannot manufacture protein from fat or carbohydrates; we must provide these building blocks. Get your fill with: lean poultry, fish, lean red meats, beans, and nuts.
The best filler of them all- Fiber! I am talking about a minimum of 25g of fiber per day. Fiber keeps you full, maintains your blood sugar, and keeps that digestive system of yours moving. Load up with: Whole grains, wheat pastas, high fiber cereals, beans, and vegetables.

Jenna has a belief system that does not allow TV, Hollywood, or ANY form of the media to dictate what is beautiful or not. As a result, she believes that women should start celebrating their life in this very moment…not 10, 30, or even 100 pounds from now! Beauty is not a size or age, and the key to feeling amazing about your life is learning to love yourself at this exact instant. Her advice, take the time to find yourself all over again! Jenna enjoys sharing this message in public appearances and speeches throughout the year. Traveling is another passion she could never live without. Her favorite locations are Paris and the Maldives.
